About me

I started playing bass guitar at the age of 17, I had a keen interest in heavy metal music. Within 3 years I had moved on to learning electric guitar with local virtuoso guitarists Gordon Navara and Phil Williams.

This got me interested in instrumental guitarists like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and the modes : ). I later discovered Tommy Emmanuel and started down the road of fingerstyle guitar.

During the next ten years I formed garage bands with friends, started gigging and teaching, practiced a couple of hours everyday, and basically lived and breathed guitar.

At age 30 I left my day job to persue my musical interests, teaching performing and studying. I created PlayGuitar Tuition got my RGT from London College of Music, Certificate IV in Traning and started my studies for a Diploma in contempory music at UCA.

I am teaching guitar at St John Viarney Primary School in Canberra and sub-contracting to Unity College as a tutor. I have 40 weekly private students plus the schools.

At present I am playing guitar with the Soul Mass Transit System and just finished recording guitar on local artist Keri Russell's debut EP. I have also recorded with local artist Tim Omaji and the band The Taken.
